Job Description

OVERVIEW

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To assigns workers their duties and inspects work for conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness.
  • To schedule the housekeeping duties.
  • To ensure the work done by the housekeeping general workers are satisfactory.
  • To provide tools and equipment’s required for the housekeeping team.
  • To ensure the factory and its surrounding are clean at all times.
  • To ensure toilet and office general equipment are in good working order.
  • To perform weekly check for all fire extinguishers in the factory at general location.
  • To ensure all fire extinguishers and fire hose reel are in good condition and meet the fire department's requirements.
  • To inspect and ensure hydrant and the hose are in good condition at all times.
  • To monitor and coordinate pest control activities at company own premises compound.
  • To follow up the grass cutting schedule internally or by the external contractor.
  • To inspect the canteen grease trap cleanliness at weekly basis.
  • Participate and be part of coordinator in ERT activities such as training, drills and during actual emergency situation.
  • To ensure emergency equipment are well kept and report for any damages.
  • Investigates complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment and takes corrective action.
  • Conducts orientation training and in-service training to explain policies, work procedures, and to demonstrate use and maintenance of equipment.
  • Inventories stock to ensure adequate supplies.
  • To support HSE executive in issuance of PPE equipment’s and firefighting equipment
  • Be part of scheduled waste management team.
  • To follow up on the cleaning of air conditional grill and remove cobwebs in the office and general area.
  • Any other tasks that may be assigned by the superior.

REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • Diploma or equivalent working experience.

Work Experience:

  • Preferable with 1 year working experience in related field.

Technical and Professional Knowledge:

  • Good communication skills.
  • Good human relation skills.
  • Supervisory skills.
  • Able to read, write and speak in Bahasa Malaysia and English
