Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Manual Tester to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing software applications manually to identify bugs, inconsistencies, and usability issues. You will work closely with developers, business analysts, and other QA team members to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze requirements, specifications, and technical documents to create detailed test cases.
- Perform manual testing of web applications, mobile applications, and software products.
- Execute test cases and document test results, ensuring adherence to test plans.
- Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
- Perform regression, functional, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Collaborate with developers and business analysts to understand application functionality.
- Ensure test coverage by designing and executing various test scenarios.
- Report test progress and results to stakeholders.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings to discuss testing updates and issues.
- Assist in developing and maintaining testing documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in manual software testing (1–5+ years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of software testing life cycle (STLC) and defect management.
- Familiarity with test case design techniques (e.g., boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning).
- Experience using bug-tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
- Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Basic knowledge of databases and ability to run simple SQL queries for data validation.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of API testing using Postman.
- Basic understanding of automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).
- Experience in performance testing concepts.
