Job Title: Lodge Manager Location: Sukau Greenview Lodge, Kinabatangan Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary: The Lodge Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Sukau Greenview Lodge, ensuring high standards of hospitality, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency. This role involves managing staff, maintaining the lodge’s facilities, handling guest relations, and implementing strategies to improve service quality and profitability. Key Responsibilities: 1. Operations Management Oversee the daily operations of the lodge, including front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, and maintenance. Ensure all departments operate smoothly and efficiently. Monitor inventory, supplies, and ensure cost-effective management of resources. Ensure the lodge complies with all safety, health, and environmental regulations. 2. Guest Experience & Hospitality Ensure guests receive outstanding service and hospitality. Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints professionally and efficiently. Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements to enhance customer satisfaction. 3. Staff Management & Development Recruit, train, and supervise lodge staff to maintain high service standards. Create staff schedules and manage performance evaluations. Foster a positive work environment and motivate staff to excel in their roles. 4. Financial & Business Management Monitor lodge expenses, budgeting, and revenue generation. Implement cost-saving strategies while maintaining quality service. Work with the sales and marketing team to promote the lodge and increase bookings. 5. Facilities & Maintenance Ensure that all lodge facilities, rooms, and common areas are well-maintained. Oversee maintenance schedules and coordinate necessary repairs. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety throughout the property. Qualifications & Requirements: - Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or related fields. - Minimum 3-5 years of experience in hotel or lodge management. - Strong leadership and team management skills. - Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. - Knowledge of budgeting, financial management, and business operations. - Customer-focused mindset with a passion for hospitality. - Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Preferred Skills: -Experience working in eco-tourism or nature lodges. -Knowledge of sustainable tourism practices. -Proficiency in multiple languages is an advantage.
