MECHANICAL SEAL APPLICATION ENGINEER

• Responsible to technical inquiries on mechanical seals and pumps by external and internal (sales and engineering team) customers, production, QC and warehouse department. • Participate in mechanical seals and pumps troubleshooting and provides solution to the customers. Perform detailed inspection of the seals and highlight any significant abnormality or defects with possible causes. • Provide assistance or guidance to service technician/sales engineer/production on the inspection, assembly, testing, installation and commissioning. • Participate in mechanical seal failure analysis (MSFA) review, technical proposal review, Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) review and technical meeting with customers or engineering department. • Highlight and discuss on any observation with respect to service activities at company for continuous improvement of the products and services. • Ensure proper and clear labelling of each mechanical seals components for ease identification during failure analysis and storage. • Perform and support any assigned tasks for region that are related to HSSE, workshop equipment maintenance and housekeeping. • Participates and involves in installation, troubleshoots and repairs of complex mechanical equipment and their associated system, involving maintenance work of varied nature. • To travel to customers/prospect with sales engineers and to travel to other branches to assist that particular branch or team members that require technical support from time to time when assigned by the management. • To train the required personnel with knowledge, including but not limited to, the tasks such as changing the mechanical seal, lubrication and greasing. • Provide guideline for customers on how to use and apply our products with the capability of involving himself/herself with site work. • Supervises and directs work of contractors and helpers as required. • Acting a good interface between company internal and external stakeholders by building good rapport with the customers. • Responsible for QMS activity of his/her department. • You may also be required to perform any other tasks or duties that maybe assigned to you from time to time, which is not incompatible with your present job functions and within your capability to perform.
