Job Title : WBL Hospitality Internship Student Allowance : RM800.00 (Monthly) + Meals Provided Department : Various (Front Desk, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Guest Services, etc.) Reports To : Internship Supervisor / Departmental Managers Job Summary: As a WBL Hospitality at AnCasa Hotel Kuala Lumpur, you will gain valuable practical experience in the hospitality industry by supporting various departments within the hotel. You will be exposed to guest services, operations, and administrative tasks, learning essential skills for a career in hospitality. This internship is designed to help you apply your academic knowledge in a real-world setting while developing a deep understanding of hotel management and customer service. Key Responsibilities: Guest Services & Front Office Support: Assist in checking in and checking out guests, ensuring a seamless experience. Answer guest inquiries, provide information, and resolve any issues that arise during their stay. Assist with reservations, room assignments, and guest requests. Handle guest feedback, ensuring positive interactions and assisting with problem resolution. Housekeeping Assistance: Support housekeeping staff in maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the hotel. Assist in inspecting rooms to ensure they meet quality standards. Learn about inventory management of cleaning supplies and linens. Food & Beverage Support: Assist in the food and beverage department, including setting up and serving in hotel restaurants or banquet events. Provide excellent customer service to guests dining at hotel outlets. Assist with menu knowledge, customer orders, and ensuring food safety and quality. Help with the setup, breakdown, and cleanliness of dining and event areas. Operational Assistance: Shadow and assist with operational tasks across different hotel departments (e.g., front office, reservations, guest services). Support daily operations by handling administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, or assisting with inventory management. Event Coordination Support (if applicable): Assist event planners and coordinators in organizing conferences, banquets, and special events. Help with the preparation of event materials, seating arrangements, and catering needs. Assist with managing guest lists, registration, and on-the-day event logistics. Customer Service Excellence: Ensure a high level of customer service in every department you interact with. Act as a liaison between guests and hotel staff, making sure guests’ needs are met promptly and professionally. Address guest concerns and work with supervisors to resolve any issues to ensure a pleasant experience. Training & Development: Participate in any training programs or workshops offered by the hotel. Observe and learn from experienced staff members to understand best practices in hotel operations. Apply classroom knowledge to real-world scenarios to improve your hospitality skills. Team Collaboration: Work closely with different departments to ensure the smooth running of hotel operations. Collaborate with staff from various teams to meet hotel objectives and guest satisfaction goals. Feedback & Reflection: Regularly meet with your internship supervisor to discuss progress, learning experiences, and areas for development. Actively reflect on feedback provided and work toward improving skills and knowledge. Qualifications & Requirements: Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate from a Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Tourism, or related program. Strong passion for customer service and the hospitality industry. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
