1. Role Summary

Purpose:

Ensure uninterrupted product availability for customers while maintaining inventory levels at an optimal balance. This involves closely tracking market trends to adapt to actual sales outcomes. Build strong communication and collaboration with stakeholders to meet customer needs effectively.

2. Responsibilities & Core Duties

Decision-Making Authority:

  • Handle ad-hoc customer requests, which include monitoring inventory levels and managing replenishment through ordering and forecasting.
  • Oversee end-to-end demand and supply operations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior executives in daily operations and planning activities.
  • Offer support and solutions to junior team members when challenges arise.
  • Lead designated projects and process improvement initiatives within the department.
  • Create statistical forecasts and manage inventory planning across various product categories, including multi-temperature goods.
  • Maintain high levels of forecast accuracy and implement sound inventory practices to support consistent product availability.
  • Engage with key stakeholders to gather insights on market trends, promotional activities, and supply strategies, integrating these into forecasting and inventory plans.
  • Monitor inventory status and provide timely updates or recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to strategize inventory management and plan for future projections.
  • Conduct weekly reviews and planning sessions with internal teams to discuss performance, opportunities, risks, and necessary actions for continuous inventory improvement.
  • Perform monthly reviews and report on slow-moving or obsolete stock for follow-up actions.
  • Take ownership of incidents, ensuring they are addressed and resolved with clear communication until closure.

  • Shipping team, supply planning team, operations department.

  • Customers and suppliers.

4. Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Skills:

  • At least 5 years of experience in supply chain or planning roles, ideally within FMCG.
  • Strong analytical and presentation abilities.
  • Proficient in forecasting and inventory planning.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Technologically savvy.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years in a related field.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field from a recognized institution.
