M&E Engineer (Based at Construction Site in Kota Kinabalu) Responsibilities: 1) Project Coordination -Act as the primary liaison between the main contractor, M&E subcontractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth integration of mechanical and electrical systems into the overall project. -Plan, monitor, and coordinate M&E work schedules to align with the overall construction timeline. -Ensure all M&E installations adhere to the project design, specifications, and Ascott or hotel brand standards. 2) Technical Oversight: -Review M&E drawings, plans, and specifications for accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. -Identify and address potential conflicts or discrepancies between architectural, structural, and M&E plans. -Oversee and verify installation works, ensuring they are executed per the approved design and local regulations. 3)Quality Assurance -Conduct inspections of M&E installations to ensure the highest standards of workmanship and compliance with safety protocols. -Coordinate testing and commissioning of M&E systems, such as HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and fire protection systems. 4)Problem-Solving and Issue Resolution -Identify and resolve technical challenges during construction, working closely with the design and engineering teams. -Manage changes in scope or design related to M&E works, ensuring they are documented and approved. 5)Compliance and Documentation -Ensure all M&E works comply with relevant codes, standards, and hotel operational requirements. -Prepare and maintain detailed reports, including work progress, inspections, and testing results, for submission to project management. 6)Team Collaboration -Coordinate with other departments, such as structural and architectural teams, to ensure seamless integration of M&E systems. -Facilitate clear communication between on-site teams, subcontractors, and hotel representatives.
