Factory Manager – Tiles Manufacturing

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Factory Manager to oversee the operations of our tiles manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing production, ensuring quality standards, maintaining equipment, and optimizing processes for efficiency. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and expertise in manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities 1. Production Management Plan, organize, and oversee the entire tile manufacturing process to meet production targets. Ensure optimal utilization of resources (materials, manpower, and machinery). Monitor production schedules and adjust as needed to meet deadlines. Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement strategies. 2. Quality Control & Compliance Ensure all tiles produced meet industry standards and company quality specifications. Collaborate with the quality assurance team to conduct inspections and audits. Implement corrective actions to address quality issues and minimize defects. Ensure compliance with ISO, OSHA, and other industry regulations. 3. Equipment & Maintenance Oversee the maintenance and servicing of machinery, kilns, and other equipment. Implement a preventive maintenance program to minimize downtime. Coordinate with the maintenance team to quickly resolve technical issues. 4. Supply Chain & Inventory Management Monitor raw material inventory and ensure timely procurement. Collaborate with suppliers to maintain material quality and cost-effectiveness. Optimize warehouse operations to manage finished goods inventory efficiently. 5. Cost & Budget Management Develop and manage the factory’s operational budget. Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining production efficiency. Analyze production costs and recommend process improvements to increase profitability. 6. Team Leadership & Workforce Management Supervise and lead factory staff, including production supervisors, operators, and maintenance teams. Conduct training programs to enhance workers' skills and productivity. Ensure workplace safety and adherence to labor laws. Foster a team-oriented culture to improve employee morale and retention. Requirements & Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. Experience: Minimum 5-10 years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 3+ years in a managerial role in tile or ceramics manufacturing. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of tile production processes, including mixing, pressing, glazing, and firing. Experience with ceramic kilns, polishing machines, and related machinery. Proficiency in manufacturing software (ERP, SAP, or similar systems). Understanding of quality control, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma. Soft Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Effective communication and organizational skills. Preferred Certifications (Not Mandatory) Lean Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt). ISO 9001 Quality Management Certification. Occupational Safety Certifications (OSHA, NEBOSH).
