Job Summary:
The Assistant Finance Manager is responsible for the financial health of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing budgets, forecasting financial performance, and providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and analysis of accurate and timely financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement) in accordance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and manage the annual budget, monitor performance against budget, and prepare financial forecasts to project future financial results.

- Internal Controls: Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Audit Management: Manage the annual financial audit process, working closely with external auditors.
- Tax Compliance: Oversee tax planning and compliance, ensuring timely filing of tax returns and adherence to all tax regulations.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, investors, and other financial stakeholders.
- Financial Strategy: Contribute to the development of the company's financial strategy, providing financial insights and recommendations to support business growth and profitability.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and legal requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager or in a senior financial role.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting.
