QA/QC Inspector

Job Summary: As a Quality Inspector at Supermicro, you will play a critical role in maintaining the high standards of our server systems. Your primary responsibilities will include inspecting and testing server systems at various stages of production, managing quality-related documentation, and assisting with incoming quality control and troubleshooting. You will work closely with the production and engineering teams to ensure that all server systems meet Supermicro’s quality standards. This role requires a detail-oriented approach, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude in supporting quality assurance efforts. Key Responsibilities: 1. Server System Level Inspection and Testing: o Conduct thorough inspections and performance tests on server systems at various stages of production to ensure compliance with Supermicro’s quality standards. o Utilize specialized testing equipment and techniques to verify the functionality and reliability of server systems. 2. Quality Report Management: o Assist in the preparation and maintenance of quality reports related to server systems, documenting inspection results, test outcomes, and identified defects. o Ensure accurate and timely completion of all quality report paperwork and provide necessary feedback to improve documentation processes. 3. Incoming Quality Control: o Assist with the quality control of incoming server system components and parts, ensuring that they meet predefined specifications and quality standards. o Conduct initial inspections and tests on incoming materials to detect and report any defects or discrepancies. 4. Testing and Troubleshooting: o Assist in system-level testing and troubleshooting of server systems to identify and resolve performance issues and defects. o Collaborate with engineering teams to implement corrective actions and validate solutions. 5. Production Quality Support: o Perform other quality-related duties as directed by the supervisor, including supporting various production quality initiatives and contributing to process improvements. o Participate in quality audits and inspections as required. Physical Requirements: • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and reaching. • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, varying temperatures, and other conditions. Qualifications: • Education: Certificate or Diploma in Computer, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality inspection or a similar role, with experience in server systems or electronics preferred. • Skills: o Proficient in using quality inspection tools and equipment, including those specific to server systems. o Strong understanding of quality control procedures, inspection techniques, and troubleshooting methods. o Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail. o Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage quality-related documentation efficiently. o Good communication and interpersonal skills.
