Jigs, Moulds & Mechanisation Specialist

1. Responsible for designing, improving, and controlling tools, jigs, and fixtures to support manufacturing processes and New Product Introductions (NPI), ensuring high operational efficiency, product quality, and cost-effectiveness. 2. Set up and operate CNC machine tools, fit and assemble parts to manufacture and repair dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and machinist hand tools. Responsible for detailing and designing of various mould elements, sub-assemblies, and complete mould assemblies. 3. Manage new mould trials, mould modifications, and troubleshooting in mould assembly and machining processes to ensure optimal performance and longevity. 4. Participate in fabrication through assembly, inspection, and testing by leveraging knowledge of machine functions, mould properties, material characteristics, and precision calculations. 5. Optimize machining parameters (cutting speed, feed rate, tool path) to improve mould quality, dimensional accuracy, and production cycle time. 6. Develop and implement automation solutions to integrate CNC machining with robotic handling, automatic feeding systems, and in-line quality inspection for enhanced productivity. 7. Conduct failure analysis and root cause identification for defective moulds, jigs, or fixtures and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime and rework. 8. Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of machining equipment, tooling, and inspection gauges to maintain precision and consistency in production. 9. Provide technical training and mentorship to local staff on mould design, jig fabrication, machining techniques, and automation integration to enhance their technical competency. 10. Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality control teams to implement process improvements, cost reduction initiatives, and lean manufacturing practices. 11. A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
