A Plywood Machinery Technician will be responsible for maintaining , troubleshooting and ensuring the efficient operation of machinery and equipment used in the production of plywood and related product. Job Responsibilities: 1) Maintenance and Repairs: - Perform regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on plywood production machinery, including veneer peelers, dryers, presses, and sanding machines. - Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issue in machinery. 2) Troubleshooting: - Identify causes of machine breakdowns and implement effective efficient quickly. - Use diagnostic tools and software to detect malfunctions and assess the condition of machinery. 3) Machine Operation Support: - Assist in the setup, calibration, and adjustment of machinery to meet production specifications. - Train operators on proper machine use and basic troubleshooting techniques. 4) Installation and Techniques: -Participate in the installation and commissioning of new plywood machinery. - Collaborate with engineers to upgrade or modify existing machinery for improved efficiency and functionallity. 5) Quality Assurance: - Ensure that machinery produces plywood products that meet quality standards. -Address any issues related to product defects caused by machinery performance. 6) Continuous Improvement: - Collaborate with production teams to identify areas for process optimization. - Suggest and implement changes to improve machinery efficiency and reduce waste. >Requirements - Minimum of 5 years and above of experience working with plywood manufacturing machinery or similar industrial equipment. - Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical controls. - Hands-on experience with equipment such as veneer slicers, hydraulic presses, and panel saws. - Proficiency in reading technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
