IT Project Manager & Scrum Master
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking skilled professionals to join EPF Malaysia as IT Project Managers and IT Project Managers with ScrumMaster expertise. The roles involve planning and managing projects using Waterfall and Agile methodologies. Responsibilities include ensuring projects meet requirements, objectives, costs, timelines, and benefits. Effective collaboration and communication with stakeholders are essential throughout the project lifecycle.
IT Project Manager:
- Plan and manage digital and non-digital projects in line with corporate strategy and goals, using either the Waterfall or Agile Methodology.
- Manage and supervise the implementation of application projects (waterfall and agile) to meet user requirements, objectives, cost, timeline, and expected benefits.
IT Project Manager with Scrum Master:
- Plan and manage digital and non-digital projects in line with corporate strategy and goals, using Agile Methodology.
- Manage and supervise the implementation of application projects using agile project management practices to meet user requirements, objectives, cost, timeline, and expected benefits.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Project Management
- Manage projects to meet scope, objectives, timelines, and costs.
- Oversee interdependent workstreams and ensure transparent, timely reporting.
- Manage project CAPEX until handover, assist in business case preparation, and participate in RFP and contract management.
2. Stakeholder Communication
- Collaborate with stakeholders on project status,changes, and risks.
- Understand business needs, suggest ideas, and maintain continuous communication with teams and vendors.
- Conduct meetings with stakeholders and senior management, preparing approval papers for initiatives.
3. Project Standards
- Use standard project management methods and tools.
- Supervise ITIL Change Management processes and ensure proper documentation.
- Ensure projects meet internal standards and specifications, conduct Post Implementation Reviews.
4. Team and Supplier Management
- Manage supplier delivery and quality.
- Lead project teams to minimize defects during SIT/UAT/Production.
5. Agile/Scrum Team Management
- Organize and facilitate Scrum events, removing impediments and coaching teams on Agile practices.
- Promote continuous improvement and monitor team performance metrics.
- Assist the Product Owner with backlog management and advocate for Agile principles.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Malaysia citizen.
- Pass Malay Language including an oral test at the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level.
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree with honours in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, which is recognized by the government.
- For the IT Project Manager role, a minimum of 10 years of experience in project management and software project implementation, with expertise in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies, is required.
- For the IT PM/Scrum Master role, a minimum of 10 years of experience in leading and implementing projects using Agile/Scrum practices is required, along with strong skills in project monitoring and tracking.
- Completion of at least 5 end-to-end project lifecycles (from inception to operations).
- Recent exposure (within the last 5 years) to digital channels, operations, ERP, core investment, or fund systems/solutions.
- Project Management and Scrum Master certifications are highly preferred.
- Previous experience in the financial services industry.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle models and in-depth knowledge of both traditional and agile project management principles and practices.
- Ability to coordinate and plan sprints around business requirements, cultivating Agile values and principles.
- Experience with Agile frameworks or methods (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and proficiency in Agile project management tools (e.g., JIRA).
- Familiarity with requirement gathering through user stories, prioritizing, facilitating workshops, and documentation.
- Skilled in business partnering, ability to learn new business domains, requirements elicitation and management, business process analysis and design, and usability.
Soft Skills:
