Job Purpose
- To provide finance leadership to the regional management team in all aspects of finance and administration functions.
- To ensure robust financial controls exist in the business.
- To ensure internal/external reporting and accounting records are accurate and timely.

- Business Partner. Support the APAC Regional Manager as a finance business partner in the growth and development of the STATS business in the region.
- Accounting and reporting for APAC Region. Maintaining all accounting records in ERP System; timely reporting of data to management and group, review monthly actuals with regional team, prepare Management Discussion & Analysis. Submission of required financial reports to group for consolidation.
- Budgeting and forecasting. Monthly forecasting of revenue, order backlog, and Profit after Tax. Annual business plan preparation, with a lead role in financial budget preparation.
- Cash Management and New Working Capital. Daily management of cash balances; prepare long term cash forecasts (monthly), monitor and control to ensure variations are identified and appropriate mitigation action raised.
- Control environment. Maintaining/developing appropriate financial controls in the region (in conjunction with group policies and procedures)
- Credit management. Credit management of existing/new customers; ensure timely invoicing and collection.
- Manage process to ensure efficient processing of vendor invoices and other payable vouchers.
- Manage processing of payroll in conjunction with outsourced provider, including review and submission of quarterly/annual tax returns.
- Compliance with all corporate and indirect taxation reporting; research and assess taxation requirements for new jurisdictions, prepare monthly/quarterly sales/other indirect tax returns.
- Assist with management of local insurance certification and annual renewal declarations.
- Managing local auditors and annual audit programme in conjunction with group timetable
- Bank relationships. Maintaining local bank relationships
- As appropriate, build team to manage growth and/or activities in region.
- ERP System. Assist in implementation of group’s ERP system (D365) through roll out to APAC Region. Identify areas for future development and assist with routine data housekeeping.
- Commercial Support. Assist in gathering data for client pre-qualification processes. Coordinate with company secretary to ensure all filings are made to the relevant authority in respect to licencing.
- To comply with STATS and Client quality, safety and environmental management systems and procedures at all times.
- Ensure all accidents/incidents/near misses/hazards are immediately reported and relevant paperwork is completed
- Qualified Accountant, or nearing completion of designation
- +7 years’ experience in finance management (accounting, banking, credit management, forecasting and budgeting)
- Competent in the use of ERP systems
- Competent in the use of office MS IT systems – Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- ‘Can do’ attitude – ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to use initiative with a hands on approach
- Team player
- Enthusiasm and good interpersonal skills
