Wood is currently seeking to recruit an Integrity Engineer to join a growing consulting team based in the Kuala Lumpur office (with a blend of remote work) who work closely to offer solutions to our local and global business partners. We are seeking individuals who get a kick out of working in partnership with clients and upon joining the team you will be an active member of a collaborative, dynamic and technically skilled group working on world class upstream and downstream oil and gas facilities.

The Role

Our successful candidate will quickly be involved in providing consulting and engineering solutions, understanding the issues of key clients and responding by delivering improved outcomes while balancing integrity, performance and cost. A key element of the role will be the ability to understand the needs of our clients while developing effective working partnerships.

Typical Responsibilities

  • Development of client proposals and scopes of work
  • Involvement in the development and implementation of asset integrity management (AIMS) programs
  • Evaluate asset information to determine hazards, failure modes and risk mitigations
  • Assessing damage mechanisms in oil and gas and mining industries
  • Utilise spreadsheet and database tools to capture and manipulate data; identifying trends and asset health concerns
  • KPI reporting and performance metric development for system integrity
  • Develop maintenance strategies using a reliability-centred maintenance approach
  • Updating Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Fitness for service assessments
  • Setup and configuration of Integrity Management Database Systems
  • Development of client reports to communicate results and recommendations
  • Assuming ownership of small projects, managing from start to finish following Wood’s Quality Management System

Qualifications

In this role we are seeking applicants not only with strong technical skills but also the ability to work innovatively and autonomously when required. We are looking for committed professionals who are keen to develop their own skills and career while being committed to contributing to the success of the team as a whole.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering discipline (Materials / Mechanical / Process / Chemical), alternatively, tertiary level education combined with suitable industry experience can be used to demonstrate equivalence
  • Requires professional knowledge and progressive experience in general engineering
  • Seeking highly motivated candidates with between 3 and 6 years of experience
  • Proficient user of relevant software and calculation templates
  • Working level of ability in the application of standards, processes and procedures and how they are used in work execution
  • Working level of knowledge of applicable codes and standards
  • Technically competent in own discipline, pursues continuous professional development of skills and knowledge according to standards.
  • Seeks knowledge of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developments and promotes to direct reports
  • Developing skills in influencing, negotiation, and communication
  • Developing proficiency in project planning
  • Possess a working knowledge of the various Business Units, Functions, Sectors and services offered within business area, and general understanding of other Wood business offerings. On occasion, seek opportunities to bring in wider Wood business to create greater client value or stronger Wood offering
