SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintains quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products; recording quality results

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform outgoing quality check on equipment
  • Prepare, file and maintain inspection records
  • As an OQA Technician, he or she will be responsible for critical quality hands-on inspection as the final point of quality control prior to product leaving the facility and shipped to customers.
  • OQA Technicians requires a high degree of independent decision making to prioritize work, adjust to changing priorities, and respond to abnormalities.
  • Responsible for completing analysis of abnormal product to prevent shipment of low quality product.
  • Technician will be responsible for data analysis and verification from various unit parts to ensure systems processing does not affect yield.
  • OQA Technicians are responsible for completing analysis of abnormal product to prevent shipment of low quality product.
  • When nonconforming material is identified, the OQA Inspector will investigate the root cause, create summary reports, and lead the response within the factory, with escalation as appropriate based on event severity and impact.
  • The OQA Technicians will have ownership for closed-loop verification of corrective actions and root-cause preventive countermeasures for recurrence prevention (CAPA).
  • Strong attention to detail is required with accountability for errors.
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
  • Effectively communicating with the Operations Team (i.e., Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Production, and Design Engineering) regarding drawings on technical issues.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
  • Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Participating in and driving continuous improvement activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to use 7 QC Tools | 7 Quality Tools | Process Improvement Tools.
  • Familiarity with inspection of mechanical, electrical and optical components and assemblies
  • Able to read and understand complex engineering drawing tolerances and GDT, and translate requirements to parts/assemblies, including knowledge of electrical schematic drawings and wire diagrams.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office products to facilitate data collection, analysis and reporting
  • Familiarity with standard manufacturing methods and procedures
  • Ability to read product drawings and translate product specifications into effective quality management plans

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Technical Certificates/Diploma in Mechanical/Mechatronics with minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in equipment manufacturing industry.
