Job Responsibility
- Work closely with functional sales consultant in designing and delivering technical firefighting system solutions for clients.
- Supervise and manage the installation, maintenance, and inspection of fire protection systems, including fire alarms, sprinkler systems, fire suppression systems, and related equipment, at construction sites in Malaysia.
- Lead and coordinate a team of technicians, subcontractors, and other site personnel, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and adherence to project schedules.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor the progress, quality, and compliance of fire protection system installations with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the team, assisting with problem-solving and addressing any issues or challenges that may arise during the project execution.
- Collaborate with the project manager and other stakeholders to plan and schedule project activities, ensuring timely completion of milestones and overall project objectives.
- Monitor and control project costs, including materials, labor, and equipment, to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, addressing any concerns or inquiries, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Implement and enforce strict safety protocols and practices at the construction sites, adhering to local and international safety standards and regulations.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including project reports, progress records, inspection reports, and any other required project documentation.
- Identify potential risks or issues that may impact project timelines or quality, and proactively implement corrective measures to mitigate these risks.
- Stay updated with industry advancements, emerging technologies, and changes in fire protection codes and regulations, and apply this knowledge to enhance project performance and compliance.
- Language(s) required: Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Service & Maintenance Engineer or similar role in the fire protection industry, specifically in Malaysia.
- Strong knowledge of fire protection systems, including fire alarms, sprinkler systems, fire suppression systems, and related equipment.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc).
- Familiarity with local fire protection codes, regulations, and industry standards in Malaysia.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire the site team.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and project documents.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using project management software and tools is an advantage.
- A valid driving license and willingness to travel to various project sites within Klang Valley.
