RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY ACTIVITIES
- Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, for the plant.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential areas for cost reduction.
- Generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor plant performance against budget.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Develop and manage the plant's annual budget, including production costs, overhead expenses, and capital expenditures.
- Prepare accurate financial forecasts based on production plans and market conditions.
- Monitor budget variances and take corrective actions as needed.
- Cost Control and Analysis:
- Analyze production costs to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
- Implement cost-saving measures and monitor their effectiveness.
- Conduct variance analysis to understand deviations from standard costs.
- Compliance and Internal Controls:
- Ensure adherence to all relevant accounting standards, financial regulations, and internal control procedures.
- Conduct internal audits to identify potential risks and ensure compliance.
- Manage financial reporting requirements for corporate and regulatory bodies.
- Decision Support and Strategic Planning:
- Provide financial insights and analysis to plant management to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with plant leadership on strategic initiatives, including capital investments and operational improvements.
- Identify opportunities to optimize financial performance and profitability.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and cost analysis within a manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices are required. Previous exposure to Excel and SAP (FI, CO, MM and PP modules) is required.
- Fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry experience is a plus. Previous experience in a Factory environment is a plus.
