- Inventory Management
- Monitor stock levels of raw materials, chemicals, and finished products.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts.
- Shipping & Receiving
- Coordinate incoming shipments of raw materials and outgoing shipments of finished goods.
- Inspect deliveries for quality, accuracy, and compliance with safety regulations.
- Ensure proper documentation, including Safety Data Sheets (SDS), is in place.
- Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other regulatory guidelines for handling hazardous materials.
- Train warehouse staff on chemical safety, spill response, and proper storage procedures.
- Ensure all materials are labeled and stored correctly according to hazard classifications.
- Warehouse Organization
- Maintain an organized and efficient warehouse layout to optimize space and workflow.
- Implement FIFO (First-In-First-Out) or other inventory control methods to prevent product expiration.
- Ensure appropriate storage conditions, such as temperature control and ventilation.
- Coordination & Communication
- Work with production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Coordinate with carriers and freight companies for transportation scheduling.
- Report on inventory levels, warehouse performance, and any operational issues.
- Equipment & Maintenance
- Oversee the use and maintenance of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Schedule routine inspections and repairs to prevent downtime.
