Why does this job exist and why is it critical?

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing relationships with key device vendors, driving successful negotiations, managing contracts and supporting implementation of channel programs. This role will be instrumental in ensuring our partnerships deliver value to both customers and business, while maintaining strong vendor relationships.

Key Accountabilities

Vendor management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with device vendors to ensure effective partnerships.
  • Act as main point of contact for all vendor related matters.

Negotiation

  • Lead commercial negotiations with vendors to secure best pricing, promotions and terms.
  • Ensure that agreements are aligned with company’s business goals and financial objectives.

Contract management

  • Oversee end to end management of vendor contracts, ensuring compliance and alignment with internal policies.
  • Monitor contract performance and address any issues that arise.

Vendor onboarding

  • Manage the onboarding process for new vendors, ensuring smooth and efficient integration into the company’s systems and processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to set up necessary systems, workflows, and compliance checks.

Channel programs

  • Work with sales team to develop and implement vendor driven channel programs to drive device sales across multiple channels.
  • Monitor effectiveness of channel programs and recommend improvements as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 – 8 years of relevant working experience in vendor management, contract negotiations or a related field, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Experience in managing contracts and ensuring compliance.
  • Ability to manage multiple vendors and partnerships simultaneously
  • Personal traits: Strong stakeholder management and collaborative skills. Excellent problem solving and analytical abilities. Proactive, self-motivated and detail-oriented.
