1. To reinforce and maintain good relations with existing and prospective accounts in order to solicit new business for the Hotel. 2. To implement all sales action plans related to her/his market areas as outlined in the Marketing Plan to ensure that goals are achieved. 3. Assist the Director in the formulation of the annual rooms revenue budget and marketing plan. 4. Analyse market changes and, under the direction of the Sales & Marketing Manager, implements programs such as changes brought about by political, economic or competitive changes in the market place. 5. Recommends to the Director of Sales & Marketing Manager direct mail campaigns to reach specific markets. 6. Ensure efficient execution of all group programs and functions and provides for the efficient functioning of the sales efforts, overall. 7. Ensures that appropriate efforts are expended on the solicitation and development of active, prospect, suspect and lost accounts. 8. Participates in weekly sales meetings and daily sales briefing. 9. Plans and executes appropriate sales trips to major market and reports to the Sales & Marketing Manager on new potential market areas that should be covered. 10. Attends appropriate industry functions and promotional events to promote sales for the hotel. 11. Organizes familiarization / educational trips to Hotel by major clients. 12. Meets with all influential clients and ensures that pre and post conference meeting are conducted by the sales and / or banquet department to provide effective communications and feedback in regard to client needs. 13. Maintains a high level of exposure for the Hotel in major market areas through direct sales solicitation, telephone, fax, telex contact and written communications. 14. Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established Hotel policies to achieve the overall objective. 15. Established and maintains effective employee and departmental staff relations. 16. Maintains the highest standards of professionalism, ethics and attitude towards all hotel guest, clients, staff and employers. 17. Maintains a professional business confidentiality. 18. Performs related duties and special projects assigned.
