Location: Kinta Highlands, Perak Key Responsibilities: Procurement Strategy Development Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals. Analyze market trends and supplier performance to inform procurement decisions. Supplier Management Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilities. Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable supply chains. Contract Negotiation Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in all procurement activities. Budget Management Manage the procurement budget, ensuring that spending aligns with financial targets. Monitor expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. Inventory Management Oversee inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies while minimizing excess stock. Implement inventory control measures to optimize storage and reduce waste. Compliance and Risk Management Ensure adherence to organizational policies and regulatory requirements in procurement processes. Conduct risk assessments related to supplier performance and market conditions. Reporting and Analysis Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and budget status for senior management. Utilize data analytics to improve procurement processes and decision-making. Team Leadership Lead and develop the procurement team, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement. Requirements: -Education : Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. -Professional certifications in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPP) are an advantage. Experience -5+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management. -At least 2 years of international trading experience. -Proven track record of successful contract negotiation and supplier management. -Experience in agricultural or manufacturing industries is a plus. -Technical Skills -Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract law, supply chain management principles, and ISO 9001:2015 SOP. -Proficiency in procurement software and data analysis tools. Soft Skills -Excellent communication and negotiation skills. -Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. -Leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team. -Organizational Skills -Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while meeting deadlines. -Strong attention to detail for accurate reporting and compliance adherence.
