Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Revenue Growth: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for lifeboat and davit services, including inspections, repairs, and certifications.
  • Business Development: Identify new business opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and expand the company’s client base within the shipping, offshore, and ship management sectors.
  • Client Relationship Management: Maintain and strengthen relationships with shipowners, ship managers, shipyards, other lifeboat services providers for positive collaboration to promote our services.
  • Technical & Regulatory Expertise: Stay updated on IMO MSC.402(96) regulations and advise clients on compliance requirements for lifeboat and davit inspections. Learn and familiarise regulatory matters ie flag authority, classification societies and understand the safety aspects of lifeboat regulations
  • Tender & Proposal Management: Prepare quotations, proposals, and contracts while negotiating terms with clients and manufacturers.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and potential areas for growth.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the technical and operations teams to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Engineering, Maritime Studies, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in marine sales, business development, or related fields, preferably in LSA, lifeboats, or davits or marine related.
  • Strong knowledge of IMO MSC.402(96) and other relevant maritime safety regulations is an advantage.
  • Proven track record in sales and client relationship management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel as required for client meetings, industry events, and site visits.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
