The Key Grooming Artist plays a critical role in timely delivery and creation of realistic, stylized, or fantasy hair, fur, and feather assets for characters and creatures in animation, film, and gaming projects. This position requires a high level of artistic skill, technical expertise, and collaboration with other departments to ensure assets align with the creative vision and technical requirements of the production. Responsible for onboarding, adapting, and training 1-5 new employees, ensuring they reach the required quality standards. Focused on reducing the workload of existing staff by efficiently distributing tasks and maintaining high-quality project execution. Actively involved in integrating new employees into workflows and teams to ensure smooth operations. Key Responsibilities: Modelling game-ready hair, fur and feather for games. Making stylized characters for games and movies. Sculpting realistic characters. Participation in the selection, interviews, onboarding, and review of the work of new 3D artists, including those specializing in grooming, in Malaysia. Requirements: Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Art/Design/Technician and (or) Specialized courses in Character Creation/3D Modelling. The candidate is to have a min of 3 years of working experience as a Grooming/Hair artist including modelling game-ready hair and fur for Unreal Engine. The candidate should possess technical-related skill sets such as: Modelling game-ready hair, fur and feather for games. Making stylized characters for games and movies. Sculpting realistic characters. Professional knowledge of 3D software (Zbrush, Blender, Maya, Unreal Engine, Adobe Creative Suite) and project management tools (Jira, Miro, Teams). Language requirement : English (Upper-Intermediate), Russian (Native) fluent Russian speaker.
