Staff Specialist Scrum Master
Job Description
In your new role you will:
- Support several Scrum teams that are part of a SAFe setup
- Assist and enable teams to use the full power of agility in product development through the correct application of agile methods and tools
- Promote self-organized and independent working within the team by motivating, coaching, listening and giving impulses
- Involve in identifying and removing any impediments or roadblocks that may be hindering their progress
- Facilitate communication and collaboration within the team and with stakeholders
- Support a Product Owner with prioritization and the product backlog management, ensuring that it aligns with the overall product vision and strategy
- Continuously monitor and improve team performance, including metrics such as velocity, burndown charts, defect rates, and others
- Responsible for identifying areas for process improvement and leading initiatives to implement these improvements
- Organize and support Agile events
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the team and the organization
Your Profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, or any equivalent studies
- At least 5 years of professional experience, out of which at least 2 years in an agile context, preferably at a position of a ScrumMaster/Agile Coach or similar
- Practical knowledge of Agile principles and methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and others
- Understanding of the complexity of diverse teams and multiple agile maturity levels in complex organizations
- Very good communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to coach and mentor team members on Agile principles and methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and remove impediments to team progress
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, and product owners
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification is preferred
- Professional level of written and spoken English
- SAFe knowledge is nice to have
