POSITION SUMMARY
As a Sales & Retail Operations professional, you play a significant role in contributing to the company’s performance. You are responsible for the achievement of retail and external sales for the assigned brand(s) within the company, across the allocated offline channel(s). Additionally, you are responsible to improve and standardize retail operational process, ensure governance & compliance as well as setting and meeting commercial targets such as, but not limited to, sales (retail and external), door & POS personnel productivity.
With an ardour in people development, you will lead and coach a team of highly energetic point-of-sale professionals to achieving the sales objectives. You are a person with proven track record of success in the retail operations management, with a deep understanding of the local beauty landscape.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Excellence
- Execute the retail strategy which aligns all business objectives for the brand
- Meet and exceed sales target through tracking, monitoring and analysis of sales performance then prescribe effective interventions
- Execute marketing and retail activities designed to gain share/ranking thus, improving sell-in opportunities
- Regularly provide feedback and insights on retail outlook, competitive activities and retailer & mall developments
- Sales Reporting – Prepare, Analyse and Share Financial risk and opportunities by working closely with team members (stakeholders)
Retail Excellence
- Develop and manage the point-of-sale team towards operation excellence, policy and procedural governance and compliance. This includes, but not limited to, free standing store operating guidelines (opening/closing, cash management), channel cycle & annual stock counts, PDPA as well as regulatory requirements
- Participate in S&OP meetings to contribute insights on sell-thru performance which influences the planning and allocation of the right SKUs for the right channels
- Lead your point-of-sale team in the management of store inventory for both sellable and non-sellable which includes returns and SKU rationalization
- Ensure the highest standards of safety & hygiene, customer service as well as store maintenance to delivery outstanding instore experience for our shoppers
- Extend collaboration to operationalize omni-channel programs, when necessary, with Brand and E-Commerce teams
Service Excellence
- Inculcate a strong consumer-first mindset within the point-of-sale team
- Recruit and develop the point-of-sale professionals with the relevant skillsets to remain competitive edge
- Identify areas of development for the point-of-sale team and plan for improvement
- In partnership with HR, to implement and manage any correction actions deemed necessary which are in accordance with the company’s process and policies
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI)
To be determined by the position’s reporting manager with the following factors also be taken into consideration as part of the role’s KPI:
Direct Influence:
- Stock Returns not exceeding permitted budget percentage
- POS Personnel Cost which includes headcount planning, salary, over-time, commission, and incentive
- Tester usage to optimize cost especially when there are in-store/outpost events
- BA Performance & Productivity
- Store & Counter Productivity
Indirect Influence:
- Samples & GWP Usage
- Company Image
- Employer branding
Other measures of success but are not limited to:
- Positive stakeholder feedback – management, peers, visitors

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or related field
- Minimum 3 - 5 years of sound experience in retail management, preferably in the beauty industry
- Excellent communication skills – must be able to communicate well with colleagues, field staff and consumers
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to details
- Possess outstanding interpersonal skills, creative and positive attitude to deliver results in a fast-paced environment
- Team player, confident and results orientated
