POSITION SUMMARY:
Speech-language pathologists (SLPs) work to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adults.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Assessing, diagnosing, screening, and preventing language, speech, and swallowing disorders. Providing customized services as per different disabilities of the patients.
- Communicating with the patient, and liaising with their family members to design effective treatment plans.
- Using tried and tested therapies in combination with new, innovative techniques to provide the best care.
- Educating patients and their families on speech disorders and available therapies.
- Taking detailed notes on patient history and progress.
- Preparing and organizing the therapy materials.
- Evaluating patient progress and implementing changes to therapy programs as required.
- Updating the monthly static record of number of the patients attending assessment/therapy session
- Ascertaining the electronic devices working functionally.
- Preparing the patient's progress note of speech and language skills.
- Performing administrative tasks such as keeping records, writing reports and making telephone calls to confirm appointment.
- Always work as a team to provide the best treatment for patients.
- Updates job know knowledge by participating in every internal and external training organized by the company e.g. CNE and CME classes.
- Willing to work overtime as instructed by HOU/HOD.

BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN SPEECH THERAPIST
