A Spare Parts Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement, storage, distribution, and inventory management of spare parts in a warehouse or service center. They ensure that spare parts are available when needed to support operations, maintenance, or customer service.

Job Responsibilities:

Inventory Management

  • Maintain optimal stock levels of spare parts.
  • Track inventory and conduct regular audits to minimize shortages and overstock.
  • Use inventory management software to streamline operations.

Procurement & Supplier Coordination

  • Source and negotiate with suppliers for quality spare parts at the best price.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and manufacturers.
  • Ensure timely ordering and delivery of spare parts.

Warehouse & Logistics Management

  • Organize and oversee storage facilities for efficiency and accessibility.
  • Ensure proper labeling, handling, and storage of parts.
  • Coordinate with logistics teams for inbound and outbound shipments.

Customer & Internal Support

  • Work with maintenance and service teams to ensure they have the right parts.
  • Provide support to customers regarding spare parts availability and pricing.
  • Address issues related to delays, defects, or incorrect parts.

Cost Control & Budgeting

  • Monitor costs and optimize stock to avoid excess expenditure.
  • Implement strategies to reduce waste and improve efficiency.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records for audits and compliance checks.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in spare parts management, logistics, or supply chain.
  • Knowledge of inventory control systems (SAP, ERP, etc.).
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Leadership and team management abilities.
  • Problem-solving skills to address stock shortages and delays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From RM3,600.00 per month
