Purchasing Officer
BASIC FUNCTION
Responsible for the procurement function particularly for meeting the day to day materials requirement of the hotel.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Updates price quotations for all market list items.
2. Monitors vendor reliability and dependability and establishes contacts with prospective suppliers.
3. Secures delivery of required items at reasonable prices and in keeping with the hotel’s quality standards.
4. Completes market lists and purchase requests according to procedure and forwards them to the Purchasing Manager for review and approval.
5. Provides constant and accurate feedback to Purchasing Manager with regard to market conditions, product availability, seasonally and price trends.
6. Discusses with the Purchasing Manager in case of any concerns of availability in price or rules and regulations arises.
7. Follows up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of the ordered merchandise.
8. Drives the purchasing van as assigned.
9. Cleans, washes and polishes car exterior and interior.
10. Carries out regular market analysis of all the items generally required in the hotel.
11. Procures the emergency requirements of the kitchen and engineering by direct purchase.
12. Performs other related duties from time to time assigned by the Purchasing Manager.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
