DESIGNATION : Legacy System Engineer - AA

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform business requirements gathering, system impact analysis, technical modelling of core system according to business analysis.
  • Performing system enhancement and development using AS400 / RPG / RPGLE / COBOL language.
  • Performing system testing; from test planning & resolve defects found
  • Required to manage software configuration item
  • Support the legacy system application, including problem investigation and resolve issues independently.
  • Comply with standards and quality procedures
  • Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices
  • Delivers assigned projects on time and within budget including the delivery of high-quality deliverables that meet the client expectations
  • Other related duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time


QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other IT related discipline
  • At least 3 years of related experience with AS400 or Smart400; preferably with BFSI software experience
  • Strong hands-on technical skills in RPG / RPGLE / COBOL and CLP coding language
  • Experience with Python or Java is an added advantage
  • Knowledge on SQL query in SQL server or DB2
  • Analytical & good problem-solving skills
  • Independent, proactive, able to multi-tasks effectively and self-motivated
  • Able to work in fast-paced environment
