Job Summary:
The Operations and Production Assistant will support the production and operational teams in ensuring timely and efficient manufacturing of beverages. This role will involve assisting with production scheduling, inventory tracking, quality control, and general support for the production process. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Support: Assist in scheduling production tasks, tracking progress, and coordinating with other departments to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Inventory Tracking: Help monitor and track raw materials and finished goods inventory levels, ensuring stock is available when needed and reporting discrepancies.
- Quality Control: Assist in inspecting products for quality assurance, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production activities, equipment maintenance, and inventory movements. Generate daily/weekly production reports.
- Equipment Maintenance Assistance: Support the team in coordinating routine maintenance and troubleshooting of production equipment to minimize downtime.
- Health and Safety: Follow and enforce all health and safety procedures, ensuring the workplace remains safe and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Operational Efficiency: Identify and recommend ways to streamline processes and improve efficiency within the production environment.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with production managers, operators, and other departments to ensure a seamless production workflow and meet customer demands.
Qualifications:
- SPM or equivalent; an associate’s degree or vocational training in manufacturing, operations, or a related field is a plus.
- 1-3 years of experience in a production or operations environment, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Basic understanding of production processes and inventory management.
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
- Proficiency in using basic computer software (Microsoft Office, Excel, etc.).
- Ability to lift and move materials and work in a physical environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with ERP or production management software is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of quality control and manufacturing standards within the beverage industry.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
