Merchandiser (Retail & Fulfillment) - Business Development
Job Description
You will be responsible for all merchandising related activities (the provision of goods to end-user consumers: determination of quantities, setting prices for goods, creating display designs, developing marketing strategies, and establishing discounts or coupons) to support company business needs. Your primary focus will be (). You will collaborate closely with internal teams, such as operations, and marketing, to drive sales growth, enhance customer satisfaction, and contribute to the overall profitability of the stores.
- Inventory Planning and Management - Analyze sales data, market demand, and stock levels to determine optimal inventory quantities and ensure product availability.
- Pricing and Promotion Strategy - To develop pricing strategies and promotional campaigns to drive sales and profitability.
- Supplier and Product Performance Analysis - Track and analyze supplier and product performance, including sales, customer ratings, returns, and other relevant metrics.
Core Responsibilities
- Reporting to Merchandising Operation Manager.
- To align assortment strategies with seasonal and annual growth objectives. Prepare and develop purchase plan for Management review.
- Involved in development of new product and stock analysis.
- Compiling and analysis of historical data and product trends, applying to future assortments needs and plan. Create action plan and effective implementation upon quantitative and qualitative insights
- Determine marketplace capacity and align it to the right pricing architecture / mechanism.
- Partner with brand and product to create impactful stories
- Develop pre-season sales, markdown margin, receipt and inventory
- Plan and monitor merchandising flow, replenishment, stock allocation, internal stores transfer, consolidation to own stores, Authorised Dealers' stores, Wholesale.
- Liaise with Marketing and Operations team for the ongoing promotion, stock planning for all stores, storyboard and newness launching schedule.
- Plan and follow-up stock delivery to all stores.
- Weekly store visit to collect feedback and analyse product sell through.
- Weekly review of seasonal collection performance, market trends to anticipate product needs and plan.
- Undertake other duties and responsibility as may assign by the Management from time to time or as when necessary
Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, procurement, or a related field.
- Working experience in offline and online retail, buying, procurement, or supply chain roles is preferable
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends, and make informed purchasing decisions.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills to effectively collaborate with suppliers and internal teams.
- Familiarity with product sourcing strategies, and industry best practices.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and data analysis tools.
- Exemplary planning and time management skills
- Must be a team player and also be able to work independently with minimum supervision while demonstrating attention to detail

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
