Lifting Supervisor
Job Purpose:
Assist, Promote & Enforce in implementation on all aspect of the KVDT Project Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) Management & ISO 45001 System requirements and required regulations as per OSHA 1994 or others.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
· Oversee daily lifting and rigging operations to ensure they are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable regulations.
· Plan and organize lifting activities, including identifying risks and determining the most appropriate lifting methods and equipment.
· Ensure all lifting operations are conducted in a manner that minimizes risks to personnel, equipment, and the surrounding environment.
· Conduct pre-lift safety assessments, including risk evaluations, hazard identification, and the development of safe work plans.
· Monitor lifting operations and provide on-the-spot guidance to lifting teams to correct unsafe practices or conditions.
· Maintain proper documentation of safety checks, inspections, and risk assessments related to lifting activities.
· Oversee the inspection, maintenance, and certification of lifting equipment, such as cranes, hoists, slings, and other rigging tools.
· Attend kick off meeting, HSE Committee Meeting, site weekly meeting and others related meeting;
· Lead, train, and supervise the lifting crew, including riggers, crane operators, and other personnel involved in lifting operations.
· Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on lifting operations, including incident/accident reports when applicable.
· Coordinate with other departments or contractors involved in lifting operations, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Experience:
· Minimum 3-5 years working experience in lifting, rigging, or crane operation with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
· Experience with heavy lifting equipment, such as cranes, hoists, forklifts, and slings
· Experience in railway track/or construction works shall be an advantage
Educations/Qualifications:
- Minimum SPM with attendance certificates in Occupational Safety & Health training's for Lifting Supervisor by registered bodies
- Registered with DOSH as "Lifting Supervisor"
Personal Qualities:
· Able to work independently.
· Communicate effectively in BM & English.
· Strong knowledge of lifting and rigging techniques, equipment, and safety standards.
· Positive, self-driven, good interpersonal skill, accountability.
· Able to write reports and liaise with others in OSH matters.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
