About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Manager/Manager - Finance to join our young and dynamic finance team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the Group Finance Director and CFO in managing the financial operations of the company across all subsidiaries. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Group's accounting operations, including consolidation, financial reporting, and internal controls. You will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the Group's financial information.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the Group and its subsidiaries.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, MFRS) and local regulations.
  • Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, general ledger.
  • Ensure timely and accurate recording of all financial transactions.
  • Prepare and submit statutory filings to regulatory authorities.
  • Assist in the coordination of external audits
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors.
  • Manage and mentor a team of young accounting professionals.
Consolidation:

  • Lead the consolidation process for all subsidiaries, including intercompany eliminations and adjustments.
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Internal Controls:

  • Develop and implement robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial information.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts for the Group.
  • Monitor actual performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
Financial Analysis:
  • Perform in-depth financial analysis, including key performance indicators (KPIs), profitability analysis, and cash flow analysis.
  • Provide insightful financial reports and recommendations to management.
  • Identify and assess financial risks and opportunities.
Treasury Management:

  • Oversee cash flow management activities, including bank reconciliations and cash forecasting.
  • Assist to manage foreign exchange exposure and implement hedging strategies.
  • Assist to monitor and manage debt / loan obligations.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or ACCA/CIMA.
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in a finance role, preferably in a Group managing multiple subsidiaries.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS Consolidation, accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to meet deadlines.
