SUMMARY:
This Role combines strategic financial management with operational accounting responsibilities.
- Oversee accounting, financial planning, reporting, budgeting, and compliance while maintaining strong controls and operational efficiency.
- Handle all AP processes, including reconciling accounts, ensuring timely vendor payments, and maintaining accurate financial records.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. Accounting & Financial Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company goals.
- Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support executive decision-making.
B. Accounting & Finance Management & Reporting
- Oversee preparation of accurate financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, tax regulations, and corporate policies.
- Improve financial systems, processes, and internal controls.
C. Risk Management & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory financial requirements.
- Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Oversee tax planning, audits, and liaise with external auditors.
D. Cash Flow & Cost Control
- Monitor cash flow, manage liquidity, and optimize working capital.
- Implement cost-control measures and drive operational efficiencies.
- Develop strategies to improve profitability and financial performance.
E. Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead and mentor the finance team to foster a high-performance culture.
- Collaborate with department heads to align financial strategies with business objectives.
- Communicate financial results and insights to senior management and stakeholders.
F. Invoice Processing & Payments
- Receive, review, and process invoices for accuracy, authorization, and compliance.
- Match invoices with purchase orders and receipts before payment.
- Ensure timely vendor payments while optimizing cash flow.
G. Reconciliations & Vendor Management
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships and respond to inquiries.
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date and prevent overdue balances.
H. Expense Control & Compliance
- Implement and maintain internal controls for AP processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, tax regulations, and accounting standards.
- Maintain accurate and organized AP records for audit purposes.
I. Reporting & Process Improvement
- Prepare AP reports (aging reports, payment forecasts, cash flow projections).
- Assist in month-end closing by reconciling AP accounts.
- Identify and suggest improvements to streamline AP workflows and enhance efficiency.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CFA preferred).
- Min 5+ years in financial management, preferably in FMCG businesses.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting standards.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
- Proven experience managing accounting and finance teams.
- Ability to foster a high-performance culture.
