
SENIOR NPI ENGINEER
Job Summary:
The Senior NPI Engineer is responsible for managing customer enquiries, product qualification, and project delivery. This role involves providing technical advice, monitoring industry and competitive trends, and identifying new business opportunities. The position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain, to ensure a smooth transition of products into production while maintaining cost, quality, and timeline requirements.
Scope of Work:
This position involves the management of customer enquiry into product qualification and project delivery/management, as well as providing technical advice, monitoring industry and competitive trends to help identify new opportunities.
Key Job Authority:
- Authority to approve RFQ.
- Authority to finalize process change.
- Authority to set up and track project key performance index.
- Authority to approve Program Tracking forms.
Key Job Accountability:
- Establish skeleton process flow for BD enquiry.
- Responsible for detailed DFM for Capability Pinch Points to ensure successful implementation of process plan.
- Explore opportunities for process improvement upon request.
- Review and approve all Program Tracking forms.
- Lead project team (internal and external).
Job Function:
- Manage all Technical Experts, Program Managers, and Project Managers and advise cost-effective solutions for new business opportunities.
- Provide on-time updates on project progress and details (documents) to customers.
- Provide technical advice in resolving process challenges.
- Provide GAP analysis and validate process capabilities.
Education/Training/Experience:
- Tertiary education background in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration.
- Possess at least 10 years of work experience in the Mechanical Engineering field.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Hands-on experience in product, tooling, and fixture design in the mechanical-related industry.
- Hands-on experience in manufacturing within the mechanical-related industry.
- Working experience in the Mechanical Component Industry (machining, plastics, etc.).
- Fluent in English and Mandarin, both in writing and speaking.
- Able to travel overseas and work under pressure.
- Takes initiative, has good interpersonal skills, is a team player, makes decisions efficiently, and responds quickly.

Pay: RM2,256.23 - RM8,599.41 per month
