Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Project Manager to join our team in Malaysia or Singapore. The role will support the successful execution of IT projects for a leading life sciences company, with a focus on Data and Process Improvement (PI) initiatives. This position is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects while gaining valuable experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Assist in managing the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing phases for assigned IT projects.
- Work closely with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
- Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and propose solutions to ensure timely and quality delivery.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and risk logs.
- Support IT project governance by adhering to the organization’s project management standards and methodologies.
- Facilitate regular project meetings, prepare meeting agendas, and ensure timely follow-up on action items.
- Provide status updates to senior project managers and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in project management, preferably within IT or life sciences industries.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, or equivalent).
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is an advantage but not mandatory.
