SITE SUPERVISOR ELECTRICAL
Job Overview
A PW4 Wireman is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring and systems in buildings. PW4 holders are certified by the Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga - ST) and are authorized to perform wiring works, including three-phase installations.
· Key Responsibilities
1. Electrical Wiring & Installation
· Perform electrical wiring, installation, and termination for single-phase (230V) and three-phase (415V) systems.
· Install and maintain wiring, switchboards, sockets, lighting systems, DB panels, and earthing systems.
· Read and interpret electrical drawings, circuit diagrams, and technical manuals.
2. Maintenance & Troubleshooting
· Conduct routine inspections of electrical wiring, circuits, and power points to ensure compliance with standards.
· Troubleshoot faulty electrical systems, power failures, and short circuits, ensuring quick resolution.
· Repair or replace damaged cables, switches, MCBs (Miniature Circuit Breakers), RCCBs (Residual Current Circuit Breakers), and electrical fittings.
3. Safety & Compliance
· Ensure all electrical works comply with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) regulations, Electricity Supply Act 1990, and MS IEC standards.
· Perform proper earthing, insulation resistance testing, and voltage testing before commissioning installations.
· Follow electrical safety procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO) protocols, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
4. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
· Carry out preventive maintenance for electrical systems in buildings.
· Work closely with building maintenance teams to ensure uninterrupted power supply for essential operations.
· Conduct periodic testing of electrical circuits to detect potential faults before failures occur.
5. Documentation & Reporting
· Maintain records of electrical works, maintenance logs, and test results.
· Prepare material requisition lists and ensure adequate stock of electrical components.
· Report electrical faults, repairs, and safety concerns to supervisors or facility managers.
Requirement :-
- At least certificate in PW4.
- 2 - 3 years of work experience in the Infra Structure or relevant construction field is required for this position.
- Required skill(s): MS Office, MS Project.
- Able to work independently to maintain high standards and accuracy.
- Adaptable to a dynamic working environment and work well in a team.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
