CASTING DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER

JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for assisting in the design, development, and optimization of casting processes and products. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, analyzing casting designs, and supporting the implementation of innovative solutions to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality.

JOB SCOPE

  • Assist in designing and developing cast components based on engineering specifications and customer requirements.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and provide recommendations for new casting designs.
  • Support the analysis and optimization of casting processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
  • Research and recommend appropriate materials for casting applications.
  • Assist in conducting material testing and analysis to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.
  • Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to address technical challenges.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations related to casting projects.
  • Maintain records of design modifications, testing data, and project progress.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/ Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
  • 0 - 2 years of experience in related field.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome.
  • Basic knowledge of casting processes such as sand casting, die casting, or investment casting.
  • Strong organizational/time management skills.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel & Powerpoint.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Able to multi-task and work under pressure
