SENIOR EXECUTIVE - FINANCE & ACCOUNTS
JOB PRINCIPLE
Responsible for managing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will ensure the accuracy of financial reports, analyze financial performance, and provide insights to optimize business efficiency.
JOB PURPOSE
Management Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and financial performance reports.
- Analyze financial data to provide insights on cost control, revenue trends, and profitability.
- Ensure accurate allocation of costs and expenses across business units or departments.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Support the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Monitor budget performance and provide recommendations for cost-saving initiatives.
- Work closely with department heads to track financial performance against targets.
Cost Control & Financial Analysis
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis for new projects, investments, or operational improvements.
- Monitor and control overheads, ensuring efficiency and alignment with financial goals.
- Assess and improve financial processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Compliance & Internal Controls
- Ensure adherence to financial policies, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
Business Support & Decision-Making
- Provide financial insights to support strategic business decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial performance.
- Support financial modeling and scenario analysis for business planning.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Accounting or any related field
- 5 years and above of experience in management accounting, financial analysis, or any related role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in financial software (SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems) and MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to process improvement.
- Good communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
