SENIOR EXECUTIVE - FINANCE & ACCOUNTS

JOB PRINCIPLE

Responsible for managing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will ensure the accuracy of financial reports, analyze financial performance, and provide insights to optimize business efficiency.

JOB PURPOSE

Management Accounting & Financial Reporting

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and financial performance reports.
  • Analyze financial data to provide insights on cost control, revenue trends, and profitability.
  • Ensure accurate allocation of costs and expenses across business units or departments.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Support the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
  • Monitor budget performance and provide recommendations for cost-saving initiatives.
  • Work closely with department heads to track financial performance against targets.

Cost Control & Financial Analysis

  • Conduct cost-benefit analysis for new projects, investments, or operational improvements.
  • Monitor and control overheads, ensuring efficiency and alignment with financial goals.
  • Assess and improve financial processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Compliance & Internal Controls

  • Ensure adherence to financial policies, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
  • Implement and maintain strong internal controls to mitigate financial risks.

Business Support & Decision-Making

  • Provide financial insights to support strategic business decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial performance.
  • Support financial modeling and scenario analysis for business planning.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Accounting or any related field
  • 5 years and above of experience in management accounting, financial analysis, or any related role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in financial software (SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems) and MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to process improvement.
  • Good communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
