Global Finance
Global Finance aims to provide HSBC with a professional, effective and responsive finance service that operates at optimal cost and employs a common and transparent global model.
We are now inviting qualified individuals to join this team in the role of Finance Manager.
Principal Responsibilities
- A key contributor to the end-to-end preparation of financial reports to Group and Regional for the consolidations purposes on monthly basis (Group Reporting). The reports which are prepared based on the International Financing Accounting Standards and regulatory requirements, will be used for consolidated financial reporting as well as reporting to relevant regulators.
- To work closely with the team both on/offshore to ensure submissions are made on timely basis and of good quality. This includes to perform analytical review and satisfactorily manage queries from Group/Regional offices in relating to Group Reporting.
- To support and implement new and updates of requirements in relation to Group Reporting. This includes implementing system solutions (ie accessing the impact, performing gap analysis and data verification) as well as tactical solutions.
- To support new business initiatives, including accessing the impact to Group Reporting (ie availability of data, identify gaps and assist in ensuring solution is cater for the reporting requirements).
- To ensure effective controls over Group Reporting processes which includes continuous review of current processes for improvement opportunities and strict adherence to HSBC internal policies and procedures. Also to ensure timely implementation of internal and external audit actions or recommendations in conjunction with any issues raised by the auditors.
- To drive streamlining/automation of processes to facilitate efficiency and effective of the reporting process. This includes identify and support digital solutions.
- Minimum with Degree qualification, and with three to five years of related working experience.
- Possesses a professional Financial/Accounting qualification.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; and resilient and adaptable with system technical experience.
- Possessing the knowledge of Tableau/Python/Xceptor/Qliksense applications will be additional advantage.
- Effective communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, and maintaining strong working relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Agile and able to work with fast changing requirements from accounting standards and regulatory requirements; and be able to analyse these requirements and their impact to HSBC.
- Good time management, analytical and problem solving skills.
- A good team player with firm leadership capabilities of navigating, aspiring, driving, mobilising and sustaining, in line with HSBC values of open, connected and dependable.
