Job description:

  • Safely operate lorries for the transportation of goods in compliance with all traffic and safety regulations.
  • Conduct routine mechanical inspections and basic maintenance checks on the vehicle.
  • Perform minor repairs on-site or coordinate with the maintenance department for major repairs.
  • Ensure the lorry is kept clean and in optimal working order at all times.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, repairs, and maintenance schedules.
  • Monitor fuel consumption and report any discrepancies or issues.
  • Assist in loading and unloading cargo as needed, ensuring proper handling of goods.
  • Comply with company policies as well as local, state, and federal transportation and vehicle maintenance regulations.
  • Address mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain delivery schedules.
  • Participate in regular training and development sessions to stay updated on vehicle maintenance techniques and safety protocols.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid GDL.
  • Proven experience as a lorry driver with a clean driving record.
  • Basic mechanical skills with the ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Familiarity with vehicle maintenance procedures and tools.
  • Strong knowledge of road safety and transportation regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Good physical stamina and the capability to handle manual tasks related to cargo loading/unloading.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
