PURCHASER & PROCUREMENT EXECUTIVE
PURCHASER
We are searching for a well-organized purchaser to join our growing team. As the purchasing officer, you will carry out all tasks allocated by the purchasing manager, which may include conducting research on potential vendors and suppliers, inspecting goods, and updating records. You should be able to negotiate pricing and transport costs.
To be successful as a purchasing officer you should be able to multitask and evaluate products and vendors. Exceptional purchasing officers should be smooth negotiators with a keen eye for detail.
Purchaser & Procurement Responsibilities:
1. Procurement Planning & Management
Conduct product research and identify new suppliers and vendors.
Source materials, goods, products, and services while negotiating the best cost-effective contracts.
Analyze purchasing needs based on company requirements and market demand.
Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and identify new business opportunities.
2. Inventory & Stock Control
Perform inventory inspections to ensure sufficient stock levels.
Reorder supplies as necessary to avoid shortages.
Inspect received stock and report any defects or inconsistencies immediately.
Ensure all stock is properly packaged and delivered to the correct location as required.
3. Supplier & Vendor Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and stakeholders.
Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with agreed contract terms.
Review and manage procurement-related documents such as purchase orders, invoices, and payment records.
4. E-Procurement & Digital Monitoring
Oversee and manage the e-procurement process, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
Utilize digital platforms and procurement software to streamline purchasing and stock monitoring.
Liaise with internal departments to accelerate procurement processes and enhance operational efficiency.
5. Logistics & Delivery Coordination
Coordinate with the delivery team to ensure timely stock arrival.
Resolve any shipment delays or rescheduled deliveries.
Attend product launches and network with industry professionals to expand business connections
Purchasing Officer Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field may be required.
- Previous experience in a similar position.
- Proficiency in the relevant management software programs.
- Superb written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
- Great organizational and planning skills.
- The ability to identify market trends and make decisions in a high-stress environment.
- The ability to follow client specifications.
- Excellent networking and time management skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM1,500.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
