  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

  • Ensure the successful completion of key R&D projects through effective management and oversight.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY

1. Highly accomplished and driven switch gear designer with over 10 years of experience in designing & developing distribution equipment products with strong project management and leadership skills.

2. Experienced in the design and development of :

  • 12 KV Ring Main Units (RMU).
  • Gas insulated switch gear (GIS) 12/33 KV.
  • Air insulated switch gear (AIS) 12/33 KV.
  • Compact Substation Unit (CSU) 500 & 1000 KVA.
  • Knowledge in Distribution Transformer.

3. Design and develop electrical systems and components to high specification, focusing on cost, safety, reliability, quality, and sustainability.

4. Experienced and involved in the project from the concept and detail of the design, verification, validation, assembly, testing, and through to the production stage.

5. Strategic Design and R&D Leadership :

  • Provide strategic direction and oversight for R&D projects, ensuring alignment with
  • Organizational goals and market needs.
  • Guide the development of innovative design solutions and cutting-edge technologies to drive competitive advantage.
  • Understand the system’s functional parameters and technical capabilities before deployment.
  • Prepare comprehensive design and technical documentation, including functional design.
  • Reports (FDR), Test and Commissioning (T&C) procedures / plans, and more.
  • Participate in system Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), prototypes, and other validation activities.
  • Analyze project technical requirements and procedure relevant design documentation

6. Cross - Functional Team Management :

  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams, including designers, engineers, and product
  • Managers to achieve project objectives.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across departments to ensure seamless project execution.

7. Innovation and Strategic Development :

  • Spearhead the idealization and strategic planning of new products, processes, or technologies, leveraging industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Develop and implement strategies to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the R&D department.

8. Design oversight and documentation:

  • Oversee the creation and review of high-level design documentation, project reports, and presentations to ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness.
  • Ensure that all design documentation and reporting meet organizational standards and regulatory requirements.

9. Problem Solving and Risk Management :

  • Address complex design and development challenges with strategic solutions and risk management approaches.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions to mitigate issues and ensure project success.

10. Process Optimization and efficiency :

  • Evaluate and enhance R&D and design processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness and overall project quality.
  • Implement best practices and process improvements to streamline operations and reduce time to market.

11. Client and Stakeholder Relations :

  • Manage relationships with key clients and stakeholders, understanding their needs and aligning R&D efforts to meet their expectations.
  • Provide high-level support and expertise during client interactions, project reviews, and product launches.

12. Compliance and quality assurance:

  • Ensure that all R&D and design activities comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
  • Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure that design outputs meet or exceed performance and quality benchmarks.

13. Knowledge Management and Development :

  • Lead knowledge sharing initiatives, including training and mentoring, to develop team capabilities and ensure continuity.
  • Facilitate the transfer of best practices and innovative approaches to enhance the overall effectiveness of the R&D team.

EDUCATION

  • Minimum Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
