Hotel Manager / Operations Manager
SUMMARY
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the general hotel operations, with an emphasis in the F&B, Kitchen, Front Office, Housekeeping, Security and Maintenance departments. They are the go-to-person for Department Heads to assist and support the Team on a daily basis.
EXPERIENCE:
The role requires several years of experience in hotel management functions (preferably in 5 star properties), which can include overseeing several operational departments. The Operations Manager must have a proven track record in operation, budgeting, financial management and accurate forecasting.
He / She must also demonstrate an aptitude for successfully motivating and managing teams, resources and inter-department communication. The incumbent should hold a degree in hospitality management or a similar field such as business or finance. He / She must be highly familiar with property management software and other (commonly used) technologies and applications. Current Director of F&B and / or Director of Rooms are encourage to apply.
DUTIES:
- Fully responsible for all aspects of all operational departments.
- Support and work with all Head of Departments in all aspects of running the Hotel.
- Ensure the premises are in operative condition as per the category of the unit receive & serve the guests.
- Conduct regular operations team meetings with the HOD daily / Weekly to discuss routine operational matters, sales targets, guest feedback ( employee feedback) and action taken for service recovery, and any staff issues. Minutes of the meeting are to be sent to GM.
- Ensure all SOP are properly reviewed and implemented in all departments and check the same during routine operational checks. GM guidance is to be taken wherever required.
- Monitor the purchase / indent / requisition of each departments, the account receivable ( collection from debtors) and the accounts payable ( payable to the vendor / suppliers, etc).
- Randomly inspect the stores (F&B / Kitchen) to check the stock in hand ( quality, par stock level, expiry, etc) with the F&B Manager and Executive Chef.
- Dealing with Suppliers / Vendors for quality products involving the Purchase Manager and providing performance assessment of vendors every quarter to HO Purchase.
- Inspecting all departments for SOP implementation.
- Inspecting all departments with their respective Managers for cleanliness, ambience, service readiness, staff grooming & Hospitality culture.
- Monitor the co-ordination between all departments for smooth & efficient operations.
- Assessing and reviewing customer satisfaction and service recovery process.
- Meet all department heads to review & train the staff to upkeep the human capital.
- Identifying staff learning needs and assisting with development.
- Providing timely and constructive feedback to all direct reports as and when required either formally or informally.
- Conduct weekly / Daily meetings with marketing people for inquiry & follow up & conversation to grow the business.
- Monitor and maintain operations & overhead costs to maintain maximum revenue for the organization.
- Be available on call 24 hours a day to resolve any urgent problems or emergencies.
- Responsible for the overall management of the operations of the hotel.
REQUIREMENTS
- 10-15 years' experience as Operations Manager in Hotel industry with suitable 5 star experience.
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Hospitality / Hotel Management.
- Desired skills include leadership, communication, organization, customer service, menu planning, administration skills, cost control, problem-solving, industry regulations and market trends.
- Given the size and complexity of our F&B operation, candidate with solid F&B experience and knowledge in running outlets offering Malaysian, Western and Japanese cuisine will stand a better chance to be shortlisted.

Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
