ACCOUNTS SENIOR EXECUTIVE
JOB PURPOSE
Senior Accounts Executive is responsible for supporting a smooth accounting and finance operation, verify trade expenditure claims, and ensure timely and accurate monthly closing of management accounts, and arrange for year-end accounts audit and liaise with tax agent on annual tax return submission.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To check and verify accounts junior data entry is accurate and charge to correct ledger.
2. Perform data posting for journal entries is accurate and consistent.
3. To check AP payment details uploaded is correct for on-line payment approval.
4. Maintain cash book record and reconciliation with bank statement.
5. Checking intercompany billing is accurate and on time billing.
6. Checking export documents and compiling submission to bank.
7. Liaise with bankers.
8. Verifying and signing Sales Invoice & Delivery order to make sure billing is correct and
coordinate with salesperson on due payment and adhere to credit control policy & SOP.
9. Register distributors sales advertisement & promotion (trade expenditure) claims and detect any double claims submitted by salesperson & distributors.
10. To check on sales and marketing expenses billing submitted by marketing person and notify management if spending exceeded approved budget.
11. Prepare monthly trade expenditure budgeted entitlement report for management review.
12. To assist department HOD on all credit control policy execution and adherence to company credit control SOP.
13. Lead in Custom approval on disposal of packing material items which under sales tax exemption control.
14. To prepare monthly management accounts and reports for department HOD review and approval.
15. To coordinate with external auditor for annual field audit and submission of audited accounts.
16. To coordinate with tax agent during tax enquiry, tax computation and submission of annual tax return.
17. Lead in conducting month end physical stock take and reconcile of stock balance differences with
warehouse executive.
18. Performing duties in complying with Company's mandated guidelines, policies and procedures and rules and regulations governed by the law of Malaysia.
19. Performing tasks and work requirements as and when required and assigned.
AUTHORITIES
· Verify trade expenditure claim submitted by Sales and reject the claim if not fulfil documentation requirement.
· Leading and couching accounts staff in checking of trade expenditures claims and other accounting related issues.
· Review e-payment which uploaded in e-banking system.
· Dealing with banker on payment and collection verification.
· Any other job authority assigned by department HOD & management from time to time.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Accounting or equivalent is preferred.
-Minimum 3 years working experience in manufacturing environment is preferred.
-Familiar with Microsoft Office applications (E.g. Excel, Words, Power Point), ERP accounting software. Good technical knowledge of accounting principles, income tax and SST regulations. Resourceful, problem-solving skills and committed to meet tight deadlines. Strong analytical skills.
-Able to speak and write in Bahasa Malaysia, English.
