Key Role Objectives: -

The General Manager, Bus Operations, is responsible for overseeing the comprehensive operations of the stage bus, express bus, special projects and engineering departments. This role ensures smooth, efficient, and safe transport services while driving the development and implementation of strategic initiatives aligned with organizational goals.

Principle Accountabilities:-

1. Ensure efficient day-to-day operations of stage bus, express bus, special projects and engineering, maintaining high performance and customer satisfaction.

2. Develop and execute long-term strategies to optimize fleet management, service delivery and route efficiency.

3. Partner with the engineering department to ensure effective maintenance, vehicle upgrades and adherence to safety standards.

4. Oversee departmental budgets, ensuring cost control and financial performance aligns with business goals.

5. Ensure all transport operations comply with local, state and federal regulations, particularly in safety and environmental standards.

6. Implement and enforce robust safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations across all operations.

7. Lead, mentor and develop department heads and staff to achieve operational and strategic goals.

8. Build and maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies, local authorities and other key stakeholders.

9. Drive initiatives to continuously improve customer service and enhance the passenger experience.

10. Lead special projects and innovative initiatives that improve operational efficiency and introduce new services.

Job Requirements:-

  • Bachelor's degree in Transport Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in transport operations, with leadership roles in bus services or related industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large teams and multiple departments.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of transport regulations and safety standards.
  • Expertise in budgeting and financial management.
  • Proven ability to lead complex projects and implement innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: RM5,500.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
