Senior Manager, Fight Safety Analysis and Assurance
Role Purpose
- Accountable for the day-to-day running of the system (technical support), producing reports and analyses (management and administrative support).
- Ensuring the smooth running of the FDA as part of accident prevention and flight safety programme.
Key Accountability
- Ensure the aircraft flight data for all MAB were downloaded periodically and systematically.
- Responsible for cross referencing and presenting information/data in a credible integrated context.
- Verify data integrity prior to being used for any of the analysis, monitoring and reporting under the FDA program.
- Establish and maintain the FDA event/statistical database.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly trend analysis for internal and external entities; Safety Review Board (SRB), CSO, Flight Operations, Engineering, Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) and OEM (Airbus & Boeing).
- Attend any FDA related meeting/s and user conference/s if necessary;
- Ensure all matter arising from the meeting being escalated and actioned accordingly;
- Liaise with Engineering & Maintenance Department for troubleshooting and corrective action for flight data transmission rate and/or flight data recorder failure.
- Support FDA vendor on software & hardware (ground-based flight data recording, analysis equipment, flight data recorder, etc.) troubleshooting.
- Assist and support Group IT with regards to AirFASE system, network/server or any IT related issues pertaining FDA.
- Ensure Flight Identification process been actioned accordingly.
- Update the response/details in Flight Identification database and recorded into Corporate Safety Information System (CSIS).
- Assist in preparing specific flight data requests by relevant Business Units and external parties; Flight Operations, Engineering & Maintenance department, vendor, OEM.
- Assist in creating and develop new customised events for fleet safety trend enhancement.
- Assist in producing FDA Business Plan; target, goals and achievement for current year.
- Assist in preparing and managing FDA yearly/monthly budget and expenses.
- Assist in providing update for CSMM / CDM manual.
- Carry out the above activities through effective teamwork with other staff members and perform such other reasonable duties as assigned by the Corporate Safety Oversight management personnel.
Qualifications & Working Experience
- Degree in IT/ Mathematics/ Science/ Engineering or Business related discipline from recognised higher institution with 2 years of working experience.
- Diploma in IT/ Mathematics/ Science/ Engineering or Business related discipline from recognised higher institution with 3 years of working experience.
- Any degree/diploma on Business Management, Business Administration, Economics, Law and equivalent to the field would be advantageous.
