JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for developing and maintaining the automated processes that provision, configure and manage the cloud infrastructure. The primary focus is on ensuring seamless integration and optimization of the cloud environment through the use of automation tools and scripting.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Infrastructure Provisioning Automation: The Platform Automation Engineer develops and maintains automated scripts and workflows for provisioning cloud resources, such as virtual machines, storage, and networking. To leverage infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Cloud Formation to define the desired state of the cloud infrastructure and automate the deployment process. Automated Configuration Management: The Platform Automation Engineer is responsible for automating the configuration and management of cloud resources, ensuring consistency and repeatability across the cloud environment. To use configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet to define and apply the desired configurations to the cloud infrastructure. Automated Workflow Orchestration: The Platform Automation Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing automated workflows that integrate various cloud services and processes. This includes automating tasks such as application deployments, database migrations, or disaster recovery procedures, ensuring seamless and coordinated execution across the cloud environment. Cloud Platform Optimization: The Platform Automation Engineer continuously analyzes the efficiency and performance of the automated processes and workflows, identifying opportunities for optimization. To implement improvements to enhance the reliability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness of the cloud environment.
