JOB SUMMARY

The Employee Relations Executive is responsible for fostering a positive work environment by promoting effective communication, addressing employee grievances, and managing employee engagement activities. This role also supports corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, conducts employee surveys, and ensures employee support mechanisms are in place to enhance overall satisfaction and productivity in the retail industry.

Job Responsibilities: -

1. Staff Communications

  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to ensure employees are well-informed about organizational policies, updates, and initiatives.
  • Manage communication channels such as emails, newsletters, bulletin boards, and intranet platforms.
  • Act as a liaison between management and employees to facilitate open and transparent communication.

2. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

  • Plan and execute CSR programs and activities to promote the organization’s commitment to social responsibility.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and implement impactful CSR initiatives.
  • Track and report the outcomes of CSR activities to management and stakeholders.

3. Internal Employee Activities

  • Organize and coordinate employee engagement activities such as team-building events, celebrations, and recognition programs.
  • Develop initiatives to boost morale, foster teamwork, and improve the overall employee experience.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of activities and recommend improvements to enhance participation and engagement.

4. Employee Surveys

  • Design and administer employee satisfaction and engagement surveys to gather feedback.
  • Analyze survey results and present findings to management with actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with department heads to address concerns raised through surveys and improve workplace satisfaction.

5. Grievance Handling

  • Act as the first point of contact for employees to raise grievances or workplace concerns.
  • Investigate and resolve grievances in a timely and fair manner, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of grievance cases and outcomes for future reference and reporting.

6. Employee Support and Welfare

  • Provide support and guidance to employees regarding workplace challenges, personal concerns, or organizational policies.
  • Implement initiatives to enhance employee well-being, such as counseling programs, helplines, or wellness activities.
  • Assist employees during critical situations, such as illness, accidents, or emergencies, by coordinating appropriate support services.

7. Reporting and Documentation

  • Prepare regular reports on employee relations activities, including engagement levels, grievances, and survey findings.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee-related initiatives, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to management to enhance employee relations strategies

All ad hoc job-related functions as and when required.

Key Competencies and Skills

  • Strong knowledge of employee relations practices, engagement strategies, and grievance handling.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with employees at all levels.
  • Proficiency in using HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Analytical skills to interpret survey results and identify trends for actionable improvements.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.

Education

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in employee relations, HR, or a similar role, preferably in the retail industry.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,300.00 per month
